On the night of Monday, April 20, a new episode of ‘La Revuelta’ was broadcast, a program presented and directed by David Broncano every night in the ‘access prime time’ slot on La 1. On this occasion, the guest was Diego Maradona Jr, son of Diego Armando Maradona, a soccer legend in Argentina and worldwide. Maradona Jr. was born in Italy in 1986, the result of his relationship with Cristina Sinagra. It should be noted that in that year, the ’10’ won the World Cup with Argentina and the Scudetto with Napoli. Since his father died in November 2020, he has been there at all his tributes.

This is how the communicator of the public broadcaster’s program introduced him: “How to present him. I never thought I was going to pronounce this name in the program. Two or three weeks ago Fernando, the guest manager, told me that Maradona’s son lived in Naples and watched the program and that he liked it and wanted to come. We are very happy to have him here,” to which Diego said: “Thank you very much for the welcome.”

The ’10’s son said that last year he was in the Canary Islands training, as he is also a coach and started watching the program and loved it. Then he spoke about his father’s life: “He had a complex but beautiful life. He is the most human being who has enjoyed the most, but he had complicated moments. He made mistakes and paid for them, but he did not hurt anyone.”

Diego Armando Maradona Jr.: “He should have won two World Cups, they stole the one in 1990 and 1994”

“My father was robbed of two World Cups, in 1990 and 1994, he should have won three,” Maradona Jr. went on to say. In addition, Broncano asked him about Messi and if he had a relationship with him and how he saw him compared to his father: “I don’t know him, his entourage didn’t want to. Of the human beings Messi is the number 1, but my father was a God”.

Afterwards, there was the exchange of gifts between guest and presenter. Similarly, they talked about his life, his relationship with his father and how he started to like football: “My mother never lied to me and always told me the truth”.

“We came to have a good relationship after 29 years. When I had no relationship with him, people would come up to me and talk to me about him, but he was always very present in me. Today he is the most present absentee. He gave a lot of joy on and off the pitch. The short time I spent with him was nice and I had a lot of fun. He was the captain of my happiest days,” said the son of the Pelusa.

Maradona Jr. told how he reconciled with his father 29 years later: “He saw an interview on television and told me he wanted to talk to me. I went to dinner with him and told him I was living a dream. A very strange thing and we did not talk about anything from the past, we talked about the present and we had a good relationship.”

Finally, there were the classic questions, answering only about their sexual activity in the last 30 days: “It was a good month.”
