The name of Real Madrid’s future coach remains the big question mark that the club must clear up for next season, especially as LaLiga is considered to be over in favor of Barcelona, with nine points ahead with seven games remaining, and Alvaro Arbeloa seems unlikely to remain in charge after a trophyless season.
If the departure of Arbeloa at the end of the season is confirmed, there are several names that are recurrently mentioned as candidates to take his place on the Real Madrid bench. One of the strongest candidates is Mauricio Pochettino, who in the past was already a strong candidate to join Real Madrid. Pochettino, always on Real Madrid’s radar
Pochettino was always a candidate liked by Jose Angel Sanchez, the club’s general manager, but his signing could never be finalized. “There was always a contract that tied him to Tottenham and Real Madrid refused to negotiate with Levy, because they already know (from Bale or Modric) what that means. It was outrageous what he was asking to get him out of there,” recalled Ramon Alvarez de Mon.

“It has never coincided that Real Madrid needed a coach and Pochettino was free, except on this occasion. It will surely end the World Cup and end his relationship with the United States.
