Andy Ruiz, one of the three men to have defeated Anthony Joshua, sent a clear and direct message to Jake Paul ahead of their December 19 fight. The Mexican, famous for his historic victory over Joshua in 2019, said that the “Problem Child” does have the tools to surprise.

Ruiz did not hesitate to share the key with which he himself managed to knock out the Briton in the seventh round at Madison Square Garden, one of the biggest surprises in boxing history.

“Attack him with your right hand”: Andy Ruiz’s advice

“Just hit him with the right hand,” Ruiz said when asked during a charity event in Los Angeles. “That’s what Jake Paul is looking for, the right hand, and if he connects, he can do some good damage.”

The former unified champion also recommended that Paul get into the ring without fear, despite the clear physical difference between the two fighters. For Ruiz, the key is determination and not to be intimidated by the presence of the Briton.

Ruiz praises Jake Paul’s dedication

“Many people underestimate Jake Paul, but he’s actually a good fighter and he’s dedicated, and that’s what I like about him,” he said. The Mexican has followed the influencer’s progress and believes that his discipline could give him a real chance in the fight.

Ruiz even stressed that Paul has shown solid progress since he began his transition from digital entertainment to professional boxing.

Ruiz combines boxing and social work in Los Angeles

The former champion’s comments came while participating in the New Village Girls Academy’s turkey drive in Los Angeles. For Ruiz, these activities are especially meaningful because of the impact of the SNAP/EBT crisis on various communities.

The boxer not only distributed food, but also spent time with needy families, emphasizing the importance of supporting during the holidays.

In addition to talking about Jake Paul, Ruiz revealed that he has a name in mind for his return to the ring. Although he did not give an official date, he did make it clear that he wants to face a high-profile opponent who will revive his path to a world title.

Ruiz said he feels motivated, active and ready to compete again in 2025, with high expectations for his future in the heavyweight division.
