Amy Luciani, wife of former NBA star Dwight Howard, made headlines with a viral Instagram Live claiming that Child Protective Services removed their daughter due to Howard‘s alleged cocaine use, drawing intense scrutiny online. In the livestream, reportedly viewed over 2.5 million times, Luciani displayed a bag of the substance.

She stated that CPS had visited their home three times in under two months, reigniting public debate about her marriage to the former Los Angeles Lakers star and their family dynamics.

Howard has not responded publicly to Luciani‘s claims, but the allegations have raised discussions about professional athletes, substance abuse, child safety, and how families handle personal disputes under intense media attention.

Her marriage to Howard lasted six months, with reports indicating that Luciani filed for divorce in July 2025, describing the union as “irretrievably broken.”

Both sought mutual restraining orders amid tension, though Howard has not publicly responded.

Who is Amy Luciani?

Born June 30, 1990, in Detroit, Luciani began performing at a young age, joining the girl group Entrance with her sisters and opening for acts like B2K and Bow Wow, gaining early exposure to the challenges of the music industry.

She later moved to Atlanta to pursue music full-time, launching a solo career and releasing singles including Bag Lady, Somebody, and Voicemail, which helped her establish an independent identity in hip-hop while showcasing her lyrical style.

Beyond music, Luciani built a presence in reality TV, appearing on Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta across multiple seasons, using the platform to highlight her creativity, work ethic, and entrepreneurial projects rather than simply her personal life.

Luciani also carved a space as a digital content creator, producing The Amy & Mazi Show on YouTube.

The show gained attention with lifestyle videos, comedic sketches, and viral moments, demonstrating her versatility and ability to connect with audiences online.

She expanded her work into philanthropy and entrepreneurship, founding a nonprofit supporting unhoused people in Atlanta and authoring a children’s book focused on body safety, blending creativity with community engagement.

Luciani adopted her professional name to distinguish herself in the entertainment world, explaining that “Amy” was a familiar alias while “Luciani” added a memorable and distinctive identity, setting her apart from other public figures.
