NFL player confesses his admiration for Cristiano Ronaldo: “I would do anything to meet that guy”

One day you make NFL history with your team and the next you are bragging about your admiration for Cristiano Ronaldo. Jacksonville Jaguars kicker Cam Little does not hold back in publicly admitting that his sporting idol is the Portuguese footballer, whom he even sees as an example of what to do in professionalism.

In addition to being fascinated by Cristiano’s style of play, Little follows the Portuguese’s career because of the discipline he has to take care of his physique and to improve his performance on the pitch, demanding more and more of himself

I could never do what that guy does. It’s much harder for me to do what he does than it is for him to do what I do

Cam Little on TMZ Sports

Although he acknowledges that Lionel Messi is a more complete player, Cam sees in Cristiano the prototype of an athlete who understands the importance of working on the body, power, strength and condition to stay at the most demanding competitive levels and to be able to replace some qualities with others.

I would do anything to meet that guy. Obviously, one of my idols… swapping shirts would be amazing

Cam Little on TMZ Sports

Against the Tennessee Titans, the Jacksonville kicker paid tribute to Cristiano with the replica of the famous “calm” celebration. He demonstrated this with a gesture to his teammates to keep calm and stay calm while he took responsibility for scoring his field goals.

This season, Little has set the records for the longest indoor field goal (68 yards) and the longest successful outdoor throw. In this regard, he does not believe that Ronaldo could score a 67 or 68-yard field goal, although the same applies to him with respect to what CR7 does on the field.

Cam Little’s historic field goal

Little connected on a 67-yard field goal as time expired in the first half against the Tennessee Titans, the longest ever achieved outdoors in NFL history.

He struck the ball sweetly and told his teammates it would have been good even from three or four yards further back, thus ending any speculation that he can only kick long indoors.

He will have the chance to break another playoff record against the Buffalo Bills: the record for the longest field goal in the postseason is 58 yards.

Manchester United fan thanks to Cristiano Ronaldo

He grew up dreaming of playing in the Premier League with the Red Devils before taking a different path to the NFL. The soccer fields were not for him; however, in one way or another, kicking a ball was his destiny.
