Al Nassr aims to pair Mohamed Salah with Cristiano Ronaldo and create an unbeatable attack

Mohamed Salah announced that he will leave Liverpool at the end of the season, but he has not revealed his next destination, and there is a lot of speculation about it. Several offers quickly emerged to secure the Egyptian star’s services, including one from Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al Nassr.

The 33-year-old forward could play alongside the all-time leading scorer in soccer history next season, as the Knights of Najd have joined the race to sign him, according to TEAMtalk (via GOAL).

Al-Nassr wants Salah and CR7 together

Having the forward on their roster is a dream for several franchises, and while Salah’s future remains open and fraught with anticipation, Al-Nassr has expressed its desire to add him to the team and bolster the attack, in a deal that could become one of the most impactful moves in world soccer.

If it happens, Salah’s arrival would allow Al-Nassr to bring together two of the biggest stars in world soccer on the same team, forming an attacking duo with massive media and sporting impact.

However, the signing won’t be easy, as other Saudi clubs are also closely monitoring the striker’s situation, including Al-Ittihad, Al-Hilal, Al-Ahli, and Al-Qadsiah.

Furthermore, there are questions about how Salah would fit into a team led by Cristiano, as both are central figures and their coexistence on the field could raise doubts regarding roles and prominence. However, despite these potential points of friction, the Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF) is reportedly determined to bring Salah to the Pro League.

Meanwhile, at Anfield, preparations are already underway for the end of an era. The Egyptian forward will leave the club after nine seasons, 256 goals, and 122 assists in 438 matches, forcing the management to plan for the future: “The first objective is to see how we fare in Mo’s position-whether we want to replace him with a similar player or if we’re going to do something different,” said coach Arne Slot.

Meanwhile, whatever the Egyptian forward’s final decision may be, it would not only mark the beginning of a new chapter following the conclusion of his brilliant run with the Reds, but also the course of his legacy in world soccer.
