While several white players remained on the pitch during the Barcelona celebrations, Mbappé chose not to stay and accelerated the team’s exit, avoiding witnessing the final act of the champion. The scene came after the traditional protocol of both teams’ corridors.
The French star arrived in Jeddah with a knee injury. A single training session was enough for him to be able to participate in the final. He left some details, such as the through ball to Guler that preceded one of the clearest chances of the match and could have changed the outcome.
