Joan Laporta sent a message of unity and hope to all Barcelona fans. The former president showed his full support for Hansi Flick, the players, Deco and his team, convinced that on March 3, the Spotify Camp Nou can experience a historic night. He believes that there is a great opportunity to achieve a memorable comeback and appealed to the collective strength of all the fans to make it possible.

The former Barcelona president lamented the adversities suffered in the first leg, from a poor pitch to a wrongly disallowed goal that, in his opinion, prevented the team from starting a reaction that he considers viable in the second leg. Laporta believes that the tie is still open and that, with the unconditional support of the fans, the team can star in another of those epic nights that have marked the history of the stadium.

The Catalan also referred to the disallowed goal to Pau Cubarsi, remembering that “it never rains but it pours” after what happened with the disallowed goal to Lamine Yamal in Anoeta, also incorrect in his view. “Nothing is innocent,” he said, hinting at his displeasure with recent refereeing decisions and stressing that the team must fight against everything and everyone.

It covers several topics

Now, more than ever, Laporta is calling for unity. He asks members and fans to make the players feel the love and pride they generate by defending the club’s colors. His final message was clear and resounding: “Long live Barca and long live Catalonia!” The comeback starts with belief.

Laporta’s full tweet

All my support to Hansi Flick, the players, Deco and his team. With the strength of all the Cules I am convinced that we have a historic opportunity to achieve a great comeback at the Spotify Camp Nou on March 3.Unfortunately, yesterday we suffered a whole series of adversities, from a pitch in poor condition to a wrongly disallowed goal that did not allow us to start a comeback that is possible in the second leg if we all support and encourage the team as in the great epic nights that we have experienced in the stadium.About the wrongly disallowed goal against Pau Cubarsi, it never rains but it pours because it reminds us of the one that was disallowed against Lamine Yamal, also incorrectly, in Anoeta. Nothing is innocent. That’s why we must fight against everything and everyone. Now more than ever we have to be on the side of our players. I ask the members and all the fans to let them know the love we have for them and how proud they make us feel for how they defend our colors.Long live Barca and long live Catalonia!
