Lamine Yamal‘s offensive talent has made several soccer fans turn their attention to the 18-year-old forward’s game.

This has also been reflected in the digital world, where he is gaining more and more followers, even surpassing big sports stars such as Kylian Mbappé, Lionel Messi, and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Yamal above CR7, Messi, and Mbappé

Lamine has gained recognition both on and off the field, and this has been reflected in a key indicator on social media.

The young Barça prospect is causing a media sensation and his popularity has grown very quickly. His special talent with the ball, coupled with the repercussions of his romance with Argentine singer Nicki Nicole, were some of the key factors that contributed to this phenomenon.

For this reason, according to DirecTV Sports, Yamal has increased his audience by 58% over the last year, gaining 38 million followers. And as if that weren’t enough, with these figures, he has also managed to far surpass great icons and legends of the sport such as Leo Messi, CR7, and Kylian Mbappé.

The current world champion has recorded a 1% growth, equivalent to 6 million followers. Cristiano, for his part, achieved a 3% audience growth with 21.7 million fans. Mbappé increased his digital community by 6% with 7.4 million followers.

It is important to note that, in a world where digital presence is becoming increasingly important, it is no small feat for such a young player to surpass players with long sporting careers.

Lamine also surpassed Mbappé on the field

Lamine’s latest achievement comes after Barça won the Spanish Super Cup, defeating Kylian’s Real Madrid 3-2 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

The French star arrived at the final with a knee injury, played 14 minutes, made a few mistakes, and ultimately could not do anything to prevent his team’s defeat.

With a brace from Raphinha and a goal from Robert Lewandowski, Barcelona managed to overcome the Merengues’ defense and claim a new title.

Although Lamine did not score, his presence and threat were a constant headache for Courtois, who saved his team several times.

In this way, Yamal hangs a new medal around his neck and celebrates with the club a new trophy won while continuing to gain ground in the digital world.
