After Gleyber Torres left The Bronx to go to Detroit with a contract that the Tigers gave him to take him out of free agency for $15 million, the echoes of his time with the Yankees are still resonating and in a rather negative way

The Venezuelan left the Bronx Bombers much to his regret and saw his seven-year story in the Big Apple cut short to begin a new story with the Detroit Tigers next season. It seems that the Yankees have a certain animosity towards him, as they have made their position public and have revealed details that leave him in a bad light or as a ‘rebellious’ player.

Cashman still has ‘bad memories’

It was Brian Cashman, the general manager of the Bronx team, who again touched on the subject of the Venezuelan in an interview with YES Network, in which he blamed the Caracas player for not attending to a precise instruction from manager Aaron Boone, which ended up taking its toll on the team.

Torres’ time with the New York Yankees, where he hit 138 home runs and drove in 441 runs in the regular season, is now behind him as he looks to make his mark at Comerica Park with the American League Central team
