Fans of the New York Yankees could not contain themselves and exploded against Will Warren for another bad performance by him and the bullpen against the Tampa Bay Rays.

The Yankees have managed to stay afloat at the start of the season despite becoming a hospital and having several important absences, so their loyal fans have done their job with unconditional and unlimited support. But today New York began its matchup against its rivals, the Tampa Bay Rays, and the Bronx Bombers began the game by sending Will Warren to the mound.

Will Warren has become a disappointment for the Yankees and their fans

Warren’s taste did not last long as he was quickly removed from the game. The starting pitcher only played 1.2 innings against the Rays, allowing one run and four hits.

After Warren’s withdrawal by the Yankees, fans took to social media to react to his controversial performance. Here are some of the fans’ responses.

Yankees fans are known for not holding back and expressing their feelings towards players, especially in the social media era. New York has a very passionate fan base, and when the team doesn’t play well, they let the players know about it.

Will Warren off to a poor start with Yankees

Warren has pitched in four games this season, with an ERA of 5.17. The right-hander has had his ups and downs in the new season, with this game against Tampa Bay being one of his weaker performances.

New York has an 11-7 record on the season heading into this game against the Rays today. It’s never good for pitchers to have outings like Warren’s, but it’s especially painful against a division rival.

The Yankees no longer have their star pitcher Gerrit Cole for the season, so they will need other pitchers like Warren to step up. If he doesn’t deliver this type of performance, the Yankees could be in serious trouble the rest of the way.
