After beating Croatian Marin Cilicby a double 6-4 in the first round of the ATP 500 tournament in Doha, and Italian Luca Nardi by 6-1, 4-6 and 6-3 in his next match, Carlos Alcaraz faces Czech Jiri Lehecka in the quarter-finals.

The Spanish tennis player, who already won a title this year with his recent victory in the Rotterdam tournament, faces a rival who is ranked 25th in the ATP ranking and whom he already defeated in the only previous meeting.

That match, which dates back to June 2023, was on the grass at Queen’s and the Spaniard won clearly 6-2, 6-3. Carlitos, who defeated the Czech player in the second round, would go on to win that tournament.
