What Luka Doncic claims Goga Bitadze said in trash talk to set him off during Lakers-Magic game

It was a very eventful Saturday night for the Los Angeles Lakers. A game-winning three-pointer from Luke Kennard earned the Lakers a ninth win in a row, as JJ Redick‘s team is heating up as the NBA Playoffs near.

Luka Doncic once again filled up the stat sheet, despite having an off shooting night. He scored 33 points, dropped eight assists, grabbed five rebounds and got four steals. But his night was filled with unwanted drama.

Doncic received his 16th technical foul of the season, which will result in a suspension for the Lakers’ next game if it’s upheld. It might not, as Doncic claims that what led to the tech was unsavory trash talk from Magic center Goga Bitadze.

Doncic went after Bitadze with a comment that the ref deemed inappropriate, but it came after the two had been jawing at each other while Donic was shooting free throws previously.

Luka Doncic reveals Goga Bitadze said disgusting things about his family

Clearly, Bitadze got under Doncic’s skin, and now we know how he did it. The Lakers star revealed in the postgame press conference that Bitadze told him in Serbian that “he will f**k my whole family”.

Because it was said in a different language, the referee obviously didn’t pick up on it. He only picked up on Doncic’s reaction afterwards. But once the NBA reviews the incident, the tech may get overturned, and Bitadze could be in some trouble.

Doncic was rightfully upset, and says he ultimately needed to stand up for himself instead of taking that kind of over-the-line trash talk. Meanwhile, the Lakers are on an epic winning streak with the whole team playing a key role. They’re peaking at the perfect time.
