Tom Brady’s impressive physique at 48 doesn’t faze Logan Paul: “He wouldn’t last more than 20 seconds against me”

The upcoming Fanatics Flag Football Classic has generated significant buzz, fueled in large part by the simmering rivalry between WWE star Logan Paul and NFL legend Tom Brady, who continues to defy age at 48 while maintaining an impressive physique.

Although the event had to change venues at the last minute due to geopolitical tensions, Paul and Brady have turned the pregame atmosphere into a full-on spectacle, trading verbal jabs during warmups and leveraging every moment to hype their showdown.

“Tom Brady‘s not an athlete, he’s a quarterback,” Paul declared, underscoring his confidence. “Tom Brady, in any combat facility or ring, I swear to god, could not last more than 20 seconds with me. That’s no exaggeration.”

Brady fired back by downplaying Paul‘s wrestling accomplishments while asserting the legitimacy of football as a sport.

“I’m actually a little worried for you,” Brady said. “You’re a good athlete, but these guys are on another level… I love WWE, it’s very cute, but honestly, this is like real football.”

The back-and-forth intensified when other WWE personalities weighed in, including promoter Paul Heyman, who credited Brady‘s Patriots dynasty to Rob Gronkowski and Bill Belichick, and Drew McIntyre, who said Brady‘s remarks came from “a place of ignorance.”

While Brady‘s comments drew backlash from wrestling fans online, Paul has relished the attention, using it to fuel anticipation for the weekend’s event and calling out several NFL stars to showcase his skills, further blurring the line between football and wrestling hype.

Logan Paul makes a statement on the field

During a recent practice session, Paul demonstrated his athleticism by intercepting a pass from Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow while shirtless, showing impressive speed, timing, and defensive awareness against professional-level competition.

In the highlight clip, Burrow attempted a long pass to Davante Adams, but Paul read the play perfectly, sprinted across the field, and leapt to make the interception, drawing audible reactions of surprise from teammates and spectators alike.

Despite never having played in the NFL, Paul‘s physique and agility-honed through WWE training-allowed him to match several pro athletes in a brief but notable performance, reinforcing his confidence in trash-talking Brady in the buildup.

This weekend’s Fanatics Flag Football Classic will feature three teams in a round-robin tournament, including squads drafted by Brady and Jalen Hurts, Burrow and Jayden Daniels, and the U.S. men’s national flag football team, promising plenty of opportunities for high-level athletic showdowns.

Paul‘s interception may have been only a practice highlight, but it sent a clear message: he is ready to make his presence felt during games, potentially disrupting NFL veterans and adding further fuel to his ongoing rivalry with Brady ahead of Saturday’s televised event on Fox at 16:00 ET/13:00 PT.

This clash between a wrestling star and a football legend has turned what might have been a standard charity flag football game into a highly anticipated spectacle, blending athleticism, bravado, and media theatrics for fans of both sports.
