“It was like I was watching it in slow motion,” is howNew York Mets player Tyrone Taylor describes the frightening moment of hitting a foul line to first base umpire Hunter Wendelstedt during the Queens game against the Minnesota Twins on Wednesday at Target Field.

After taking the blow to the left side of his head, Wendelstedt was able to get up and walk off the field under his own power, but went straight to the hospital, where he underwent further tests to rule out any problems as a result of what they are always exposed to, players and umpires in a baseball game: that ‘Doña Blanca arrives without even knocking on the door’
