This was Mamiko’s reaction when Shohei Ohtani received a special request from a fan: “Marry my mom”

The atmosphere in Los Angeles is one of celebration after the Dodgers won the World Series in Game 7 against the Blue Jays. The team led by Shohei Ohtani achieved a historic championship, generating a wave of celebrations in the city that has left several fun moments.

During the team’s parade through the city of Los Angeles, Dodgers fans were able to get close to their idols and be part of a celebration worthy of the World Series champion. In these celebrations you can see all kinds of things and one fact that went viral was the reaction of Ohtani’s wife to a curious request made to the Japanese player.

Ohtani’s wife’s reaction after curious message from Dodgers fan

During the parade, the players waved to the fans, who also had various signs with messages of support, but it was one in particular that generated laughter and a funny reaction from Mamiko Tanaka, the wife of Dodgers star Shohei Ohtani.

The fan’s sign had a clear request: “Marry my mom”, which was addressed to Ohtani and it was Blake Snell who called the Japanese to see it. When he realized the message, the player could not help laughing, but his wife’s reaction was missing.

Ohtani, after seeing the sign, called his wife so that she could also see it and Tanaka burst out laughing, taking it all as a joke and even to continue the game, he covered Ohtani’s eyes so that he could not see any other proposal that might be made by another fan.

Who is Shohei Ohtani’s wife, Mamiko Tanaka?

Shohei Ohtani has always been very cautious about his private life, so little or nothing is known about his wife, daughter and the rest of his family. Even so, in recent times, Mamiko has had more public appearances and has been seen supporting her husband, as she did in game 7 against the Blue Jays, for example.

Mamiko Tanaka is a 28-year-old woman who, like her husband, has had a life linked to sport. Tanaka played professional basketball for many years in Japan and was part of the women’s league in that country, where she excelled.

In 2023, Tanaka retired from basketball and now lives a quieter life with her husband and daughter, who was born earlier this year. Not much is known about her because both have wanted to keep her away from the media.
