The Major League Baseball offseason is in full swing and the signings made by teams such as the Dodgers and Mets have worried Yankees fans, after owner Hal Steinbrenner revealed that there were not enough resources for new players.

In recent weeks, Yankees fans did not take Steinbrenner’s statements in the best way. Despite being the owner of the fourth most powerful franchise in the world, its expenses cannot be equated with the investment that Dodgers has made.

“It’s hard for most of us owners to be able to do the kind of things that they’re doing. Now we’ll see if it works out. In the Baseball Today podcast, its hosts made a proposal to Steinbrenner to finance better signings for the Yankees, go to a site for fans to donate and be able to carry out the signings that New York is looking for.

“I haven’t checked since the start of the program whether or not a GoFundMe page has been opened for the Yankees. No, they haven’t done it yet. It’s OK, they’re still trying this weekend to do it.”

After making impressive signings in past years, the Yankees have only spent $291 million on reinforcements, highlighted by the arrival of former MLB MVP Paul Goldschmidt.

In addition, the Yankees had to suffer the departure of Juan Soto, for whom the Bronx Bombers offered a contract for 760 million dollars and 15 years, an offer that was surpassed by the Mets by giving him 5 million more
