Rory McIlroy was left emotional after winning the Ryder Cup with Europe, but he also had to respond to fans of the United States team after his wife Erica Stoll was hit by a beer can thrown from the crowd.
The Northern Irish golfer denounced the behavior of American fans who got into him and his wife at Bethpage Black, and claimed that the unpleasant scenes that occurred during Europe’s hard-fought 15-13 victory over the United States were “unacceptable”.

The English press reported that Erica Stoll broke down in tears after suffering a day of abuse from American fans, and even had a drink thrown over her.
Rory McIlroy was subjected to constant abuse, including chants of “Fuck you, Rory!” and insults about his marriage.

When asked how surprised he was to see police dogs patrolling the streets and greens of Bethpage Black, he added: “I wish they had let them loose”.
“We shut them up with our performance and how we played… and we’re going to celebrate like there’s no tomorrow,” he said.

In the celebrations, McIlroy filmed himself and the European team with the Ryder Cup trophy in the locker room, chanting: “Are you watching? Are you watching Donald Trump?”
Trump, the former president of the United States, did not hesitate to respond to the European team: “Yes, I’m watching. Congratulations”.

Comedian Heather McMahan had to step down from her job as a Ryder Cup cheerleader after an inappropriate comment.
Tomas Campos reported in MARCA that McMahan had been hired to cheer on the crowd on the first tee to create atmosphere, and used a megaphone to guide them in their chants. She tried to convince them to join her in a chorus of “Scotty! Scotty! Scheffler!” to the tune of Queen’s We Will Rock You, but was booed and abandoned the attempt.
On social media, an audio clip appeared in which McMahan insulted McIlroy, saying “F*** you, Rory (McIlroy)!”, a shout that many fans began to repeat.
