Robert Lewandowski has surpassed his Borussia Dortmund stats at Barcelona

Robert Lewandowski‘s time at Barcelona continues to set historic records. Even before joining the Catalan club in 2022, the Polish forward had spent 12 seasons in Germany, where his time at Borussia Dortmund established him as one of soccer’s brightest stars. Now, he has surpassed even that.

The 37-year-old striker played his 188th match with Barça against Getafe (0-2), surpassing the 187 he played with Dortmund, but his goal tally has given him a new reason to celebrate.

Lewandowski surpasses himself

The Polish star has changed teams, but not his scoring prowess. With Barça, the forward has tallied 118 goals (0.62 per game), surpassing the 103 goals (0.55 per game) he scored during his time at Dortmund, according to Mundo Deportivo.

Thus, his numbers confirm that, even in the final stretch of his career, Lewandowski maintains an extremely high efficiency in front of the net and has managed to improve his records in less time compared to his time in Germany.

That said, there is one chapter in his professional career that will be difficult to match: his time at Bayern Munich. There, he not only played for eight seasons but also racked up staggering numbers with 344 goals in 375 matches, an average far above that of his other clubs (0.92 goals per game).

Meanwhile, his performance at Barcelona reinforces his legacy as one of the greatest goal scorers in modern soccer, capable of adapting and continuing to make a difference even at age 37.

To date, Lewi has tallied 17 goals and 4 assists in the 41 matches played this season, accumulating a total of 2,118 minutes of playing time across all competitions.

However, Lewandowski could be opening a new chapter in his career. The striker has a contract with Barcelona running through June 2026, and although he has no shortage of offers, he has not yet decided on his future.
