Jason Kelce hated the Dodgers’ World Series win – and Travis Kelce reveals what really made him Angry

The Los Angeles Dodgers have reignited the debate about massive spending in MLB and the growing gap between franchises that invest heavily and those unwilling to follow that model. After securing their second consecutive World Series title, critics continue to emerge-and this time, it was Jason Kelce who made his stance crystal clear on “buying championships.”

But beyond lashing out at the Dodgers, there’s a specific reason he was so upset they won-and his brother Travis Kelce was there to explain it.

Jason Kelce is fed up with the Dodgers

As a die-hard Philadelphia Phillies fan, Jason’s anger may not come as a surprise-but it does raise eyebrows since the Phillies themselves boast the fourth-highest payroll in MLB.

The official New Heights podcast account-run by the Kelce brothers-shared the clip on X (formerly Twitter), where Jason’s fiery comments instantly went viral, sparking a wave of fan reactions.

“Baseball sucks. You just buy World Series championships. It’s the dumbest thing in the world,” Jason Kelce said.

His comments came just days after the Dodgers clinched back-to-back World Series championships-becoming the first team to do so in 25 years. Meanwhile, Travis Kelce took a calmer stance, saying it was simply “a great seven-game series.”

The former Eagles star’s frustration may also stem from the Phillies being eliminated by Los Angeles in the NLDS. Still, the broader debate remains-many MLB teams have enormous payrolls, including Philadelphia, yet only a few, like the Dodgers, turn that investment into consistent championships.
