The boxing community has slowly begun to accept the presence of Jake Paul, the famous YouTuber turned boxer, who has gained ground with exhibitions that reached their peak when he brought the legendary Mike Tyson out of retirement, and the next step in his consolidation as a pugilist will be on July 28, when he faces Julio Cesar Chavez at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.

The promoter and former boxer Oscar de la Hoya endorsed the process that The Problem Child has gone through to earn a place in boxing, during a chat on Power 106 Los Angeles.

“He got 11 fights now. Will he fight Chavez Jr, a former world champion, who went the distance with Canelo? I can’t blame him for trying. Chavez Jr has over 60 fights… Jake Paul is rising little by little and a lot of people hate him, but that’s why he’s so popular, because they watch him,” said the Golden Boy.
