Erin Andrews and Charissa Thompson take sides in the Dak Prescott and Sarah Jane breakup

Rumors surrounding Dak Prescott’s split from former fiancée Sarah Jane Ramos continue to circulate. While some have cast the Dallas Cowboys quarterback as the “villain” in the story, sportscasters Erin Andrews and Charissa Thompson have publicly defended him.

In early March, fans were stunned when Ramos ended her engagement to Prescott just weeks before their highly anticipated wedding.

Recent speculation suggests Ramos called off the engagement after discovering that Prescott had been messaging another woman through a secret social media account.

Amid the controversy, Andrews and Thompson voiced their support for the Cowboys star:

He is a fantastic person on and off the field. He’s a class act.

On a recent episode of their podcast Calm Down with Erin and Charissa, Thompson expressed unwavering support for Prescott, saying: “He has been through hell and back in his personal life.”

As Thompson highlighted the personal tragedies Prescott has endured, Andrews responded to a listener’s question about why people dislike him with a blunt answer: “He plays for the Cowboys.”

Charissa agreed, adding: “The people who are going to hate him don’t have any real reason. They’re just trying to be contrarians.”

Andrews described herself as Prescott’s “big sister,” recalling:

I’ve been covering him since his rookie season. I’ve seen him go through hell and back.

Thompson concluded: “I’m always going to defend Dak because I think he’s a wonderful person. That locker room will tell you he’s a wonderful teammate.”

Andrews echoed the sentiment:

He’s a guy I get very defensive about because he’s so lovely.

Prescott has kept a low profile throughout the scandal, but the support of Andrews and Thompson is likely a welcome source of encouragement during this time.
