Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez is one of the highest-paid athletes in the world, with the Mexican boxer earning tens of millions of dollars for each fight, the next of which will be against Cuban William Scull in Saudi Arabia.

It is reported that the purse that the Mexican boxer will take for his next fight against Scull will be around $80 million, being the best of his career so far and is part of the agreement with the minister Turki Al-Alshikh, accepting Saudi money without qualms.

What is Canelo Alvarez’s net worth?

According to Forbes, Canelo Alvarez is worth around $275 million. This not only includes his salary as a boxer and the purses he earns, but also his fortune, possessions and business portfolio in different areas.

According to the Forbes list, he is the highest-paid Mexican athlete in the world and No. 14 overall in 2024, and could soon rise to the top 10 with the contract he signed with Turki Al-Alshikh for five fights and $400 million in Saudi Arabia.

How much does Canelo Alvarez earn per fight?

Before the agreement between Canelo with Turki Al-Alshikh and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, he had previously signed another similar contract with DAZN in 2018, which was for 5 years and $365 million, which would pay him an average of $33 million per fight.

However, Canelo terminated his contract in 2020. According to Forbes, Canelo earns around $75 million a year from fights, while he has earned just over $600 million during his career since turning professional in 2005.
