The tournament already has its two finalists confirmed: Brazil and Chile, and with so many memorable moments and a huge growth in audience, Gerard Pique spoke about the possibility of one day having Lionel Messi at the event.
The Kings League has featured the likes of Kaka and Neymar, with the Santos player hinting that Messi could be present in the semi-finals, but that never happened. However, for the future of the tournament, it is hoped that the Argentine could be involved.

Gerard Pique spoke ahead of the grand final between Brazil and Chile, and after being questioned about Messi’s presence, he put the pressure on Neymar. “Ask Ney, he was the one who threw it, wasn’t he?“

The former Barcelona defender went on to say that he would love to have Messi involved. “We’ll see if one day there is the possibility that he gets involved in the Kings League, for me it would be a dream obviously, because we like to have the best and I’ve always said it, he is the best in the history of this sport so having him with us would be incredible.”
Pique talks about adding more stars to the Kings League
In addition to Messi, Pique also spoke about the option of adding more great soccer figures to the Kings League, since although the event is very attractive, the presence of high-level players is key to its promotion.
“I have been lucky enough to be able to play with the best in the world. With all kinds of teammates. There will always be the opportunity for them to participate,” explained the 2010 World Cup winner with Spain. “When you are playing it is more complicated, but when you finish your career it is another story.”
