Vinicius Jr. is not going through his best moment at Real Madrid. After a difficult season with his team, with ups and downs in his performance, he is once again at the center of criticism after his poor performance in the tie against Bayern Munich. In this context came the assessment of Joao Miranda, former player of Atletico Madrid and the Brazilian national team.

In a conversation with his teammate Mario Suarez on the YouTube podcast of the former Atletico player, Miranda gave his opinion about the Real Madrid player. “For me Vinicius has a lot of quality, but he is still far from Neymar, Messi, Cristiano…”, he said.

“Football, at the moment, is the best we have, because for me football has changed a lot. It has a lot of the physical part and Vinicius has the technical part and the physical part. But he is not like Messi and Neymar. He is missing something. I don’t know if it’s charisma with the people”, he analysed.

Lastly, Miranda spoke about the racism that Vinicius suffers on the pitch in Spain, something he says he has not experienced himself. “Here in Spain and in Europe, nowhere, I have not experienced racism, because I had my head only to play football. What people said to me was just a distraction to take the focus off the game. When you go to play a game, if you let the fans take the focus off the game, it changes the way you play a little bit, it takes away a little bit of concentration,” he explained.
