Dak Prescott’s ex-fiancée Sarah Jane getting over breakup with Cowboys quarterback thanks to “healing powers”

In the weeks since her relationship with Dak Prescott came to an abrupt end, Sarah Jane Ramos has begun to reveal how she is navigating life after the breakup, not through statements or interviews, but through small, personal moments that point to a gradual sense of healing.

Ramos, who had been set to marry the Dallas Cowboys quarterback before the wedding was called off in March, recently shared a photo of her youngest daughter, Aurora, smiling on a kitchen counter. The caption was simple but telling: “This child’s smile carries healing powers, I swear.”

The post offered a rare insight into her mindset following a high-profile split that quickly shifted from wedding plans to legal filings and public scrutiny.

The separation between Ramos and Prescott unfolded rapidly. Within days of the engagement ending, Prescott filed a Suit Affecting the Parent-Child Relationship in Texas, a legal step commonly used to establish custody and parental responsibilities.

A court hearing had initially been scheduled, but the situation took a different direction before reaching that stage. Instead, the former couple agreed to a temporary settlement outside of court, allowing them to share co-parenting duties for their two daughters, Margaret and Aurora.

“Sarah Jane is very happy that she and Dak are able to make decisions for the parties’ girls and their family on their own,” her attorney, Raymond Rafool, told Page Six. “She firmly believes that working together as parents is very important and will have long-term benefits for the girls.”

Prescott‘s legal team described the agreement as a “positive step forward,” emphasising that the well-being of their children remained the central priority.

A quieter path to moving forward

While much of the public attention has centred on the circumstances surrounding the breakup, Ramos‘ recent activity suggests a deliberate shift away from the noise. Her focus, at least publicly, has been on motherhood and rebuilding a sense of normalcy.

That approach contrasts with the intensity of the initial fallout, which included speculation about the reasons behind the split and criticism directed toward Prescott. Through it all, neither side has engaged extensively with those narratives.

Instead, the emphasis has moved toward stability and a transition that has been echoed by those close to Prescott as well.

“Dak and I have had a ton of conversations,” Cowboys head coach Brian Schottenheimer said in an interview with The Dallas Morning News. “He’s in a really good spot. Obviously what he’s dealing with is incredibly tough. But if anyone can handle it, he can.”

Turning the page amid ongoing spotlight

For both Ramos and Prescott, the past month has marked a significant shift. What was once a relationship heading toward marriage has evolved into a co-parenting partnership, shaped by shared responsibility rather than personal ties.

Ramos‘ message, though brief, reflects that transition. In choosing to highlight a moment with her daughter rather than address the breakup directly, she has offered a glimpse of how she is processing the change, privately, and on her own terms.

As Prescott prepares for the upcoming NFL season, the focus will soon return to football. But away from the field, the situation appears to have reached a point of resolution, at least in the immediate sense.

For now, the story is less about what went wrong and more about what comes next, and for Ramos, that begins with her children.
