Cristiano Ronaldo plans more business and does not rule out buying more football clubs

Cristiano Ronaldo’s name is once again trending, but this time not only for his goals with Al Nassr, but for his ambitious business expansion plan in international football. With the 2026 World Cup on the horizon as a possible last great sporting challenge, the Portuguese is also building a future as an investor and potential club owner.

According to transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano, Ronaldo’s recent investment in UD Almeria is not an isolated move, but rather the first step in a much larger project.

“Understanding the investment in Almeria will only be the beginning of Cristiano Ronaldo’s future projects, not the only one. Cristiano is willing to invest in ambitious projects and clubs if more opportunities arise in the future,” Romano posted on X.

A heritage that supports its ambition

Ronaldo’s career, both on and off the pitch, has allowed him to build a historic fortune. According to international reports, including analysis by the BBC, the striker was the first footballer to reach billionaire status while still playing.

This financial muscle would allow it to bet on:

  • Strategic stakes in European clubs.
  • Emerging sports projects.
  • Innovative management models in football.
  • Expanding its global brand beyond the pitch.

Dream return for Cristiano to Manchester?

Although Romano did not mention specific names, speculation was quick to arise. One of the focuses inevitably points to Manchester United, a club where Ronaldo is considered a legend.

Amid discontent from some fans with the Glazer family and recent structural decisions linked to Sir Jim Ratcliffe, the possibility of the Portuguese returning as an investor or co-owner has fired the imagination of supporters.

A scenario in which CR7 participates in the sporting and institutional rebuilding of Old Trafford would undoubtedly be a powerful narrative for world football.

Beyond retirement

With 40 years on the horizon and still a force to be reckoned with in Saudi Arabia, Ronaldo seems to be planning an orderly transition into his post-football career. It’s not just about business, it’s about legacy.

While he continues to score goals in the Saudi Pro League, the Portuguese makes it clear that his influence on football could extend for decades, this time from the offices.

The future of his investments is still uncertain, but the message is clear: Cristiano Ronaldo does not intend to leave the game… he will just change position.
