Cristiano Ronaldo is flying towards 1,000 goals: incredible sprint to score in Al Nassr’s win

Cristiano Ronaldo continues to count. The thigh injury is now history and the Portuguese is still unstoppable. With his goal against Al Okhdood he has now reached 969 goals and Al Nassr is celebrating. Jorge Jesus’ team is five points ahead of Al Hilal, with six games to go and a match between the two teams still to come. The other scorer was Joao Felix

Al Nassr started by activating the match through their wingers. Angelo accompanied Brozovic in the center of the field, but more open, so Mane’s left flank was much more attacking. The Senegalese player left several passes into the area that were rejected by the opposing defense. Either they did not let them reach the finisher, or because Joao forgave.

The attacks were directed from the left, but the goal came from the right. A move by Coman and Angelo ended at the feet of Cristiano Ronaldo, who came in from behind as if he were a second striker. He controlled, advanced and shot. Goal at the near post and the second he has scored against Portugal. Curious surname of the Al-Ohkdood goalkeeper.

Cristiano Ronaldo managed to ‘gun’ a couple more balls, but he ran into Gunter on all of them. The German made life difficult for the Portuguese at the end of the first half.

The second half began with celebration. A minute after the break came Al Nassr’s second. Cristiano was not the scorer, but he did start the play by threading a pass to Sadio Mane who crossed. The header was by Coman who sent it to the post and the rebound was scored by Joao Felix.

Al Okhdood struggled to get going in the second half, but when they did, they troubled Al Nassr. Pedroza with a shot from outside the area and Gul with a header from a corner threatened Bento’s goal.

Cristiano could not increase his goal tally in the second half and left the field with an angry expression in the 82nd minute. El Amri managed to threaten the goal after the Portuguese’s departure, but the result did not change. 0-2 for Al Nassr, who are now five points behind Al Hilal.
