Al-Nassr‘s 3-0 win over Al-Akhdood not only boosted the confidence of the team, which has won its last seven games and all 10 in the Saudi Pro League, but also continued to cement its captain’s leadership.

Cristiano Ronaldo scored two goals on Saturday, December 27, and expressed his optimism on social media and to the press.

CR7 is confident about the future

During the first half of the match, Cristiano scored his two goals in the 31st and 48th minutes of added time, extending his streak to 956 goals and giving the team another victory. CR7 scored a third goal, but it was disallowed after a VAR review. Finally, João Félix added the third goal near the end of the match, in the 90+4th minute.

After the match, Ronaldo shared four photos of the moment on his official Instagram account and revealed the secret to this victory:

“Hard work is the way to success!” wrote the Portuguese star, who has scored 12 goals in 10 Saudi Pro League matches.

However, when he spoke to the press after the game, the 40-year-old captain did not hesitate to emphasize that his journey is not over yet and that they will continue to work to make Al-Nassr’s chances of winning the title a reality: “The league is not decided yet, and we must focus on the upcoming matches,” CR7 began via Kooora.

“The competition is still long, but we are on the right track. Today we played a great match against Al-Akhdoud, who tried to prevent us from scoring, but we scored 3 goals, and no one wins the league halfway through,” added the player, who is aiming to win his first SPL title since joining the club in 2023.

Meanwhile, Al-Nassr and Cristiano Ronaldo are preparing to face Al-Ettifaq next Tuesday, December 30, at Prince Mohamed bin Fahd Stadium, where they will seek to continue their winning streak.
