Cristiano Ronaldo and the “sour sweet treat” that could take Real Madrid away from the club of his dreams

Cristiano Ronaldo makes an impact both on and off the field. On February 26, the 41-year-old Portuguese star surprised everyone by announcing that he had acquired a 25% stake in Unión Deportiva Almería, a team that plays in LaLiga Hypermotion, Spain’s second division.

As part of his duties, CR7 is tasked with helping and collaborating with the club to achieve its goal of promotion to the top flight, and in line with this, he hopes to bring a midfielder from Real Madrid -his former club- into the UD Almería squad.

CR7 Pushes for Signing of a Real Madrid Gem

According to a recent report by Fichajes, César Palacios has been identified by “El Bicho” as a key player to raise the team’s competitive level next season.

The midfielder from Castilla, Real Madrid’s reserve team, brings creativity, goal -scoring ability, and a tactical maturity uncommon for his age- qualities that have not gone unnoticed by Cristiano and Almería, as he fits the type of player the club is seeking.

Furthermore, his training at The Whites has allowed him to develop a solid tactical foundation, which would facilitate his adaptation to the team, making his signing seen as a move with immediate impact, but also one with long-term potential.

His 13 goals and 3 assists in 32 matches have not gone unnoticed by CR7, nor by other clubs that have begun to show interest in him.

It was recently reported that The Merengues is willing to sell Palacios outright, but with a buyback option, just as they did with Nico Paz and Jacobo Ramón. A loan to a club like Almería could provide the young prospect with the ideal setting to adapt to professional soccer, while remaining under Real Madrid’s supervision in the long term.

For now, César Palacios’ future will also depend on the stance of The Whites, who are closely monitoring his development, but Cristiano Ronaldo has also made his position clear: he wants to see the midfielder at UD Almería next season.
