Christian Pulisic is showing the entire world that he’s one of the top footballers on the planet, doing so at the highest level with AC Milan, where they’re fighting for the Serie A title. In fact, he’s on pace for what could be the best season of his career – one that might culminate with the FIFA World Cup on home soil.

Christian Pulisic challenges one of Lionel Messi’s closest allies in Argentina

The U.S. national team star is sending direct messages to Mauricio Pochettino with dominant performances. In Milan’s latest 3-0 victory over Hellas Verona, Pulisic scored to raise his tally to 10 goals and 2 assists in 15 matches across all competitions.

And that’s not all – he’s also individually challenging one of the best strikers in Serie A for the league scoring title.

Pulisic Keeping Pace with Lautaro Martínez

With his eighth goal in Serie A, Christian Pulisic reached eight – just one behind Argentine striker Lautaro Martínez (9), who scored again against Atalanta to rescue his team and maintain the top spot in the standings.

It’s a tally that amazes many, but it should also catch the attention of Mauricio Pochettino, head coach of the United States national team, ahead of the 2026 World Cup co-hosted by Mexico, the United States, and Canada.

AC Milan hasn’t lost in Serie A since their season-opening defeat to Cremonese in August – and this latest victory marked the Rossoneri’s final match of 2025.

Last season – his best to date – Pulisic recorded 17 goals and 12 assists in 50 appearances, establishing himself as one of Milan’s biggest stars.

Since joining the Rossoneri for the 2023-24 season, Pulisic has been directly involved in 50 goals (31 goals and 19 assists). In that same period, only Inter striker Lautaro Martínez has outperformed him with 54 goal contributions.

That level of production will be crucial for the United States, which will rely heavily on Christian Pulisic in front of home crowds at the FIFA World Cup 2026, scheduled from June 11 to July 19.
