Bryce Harper undergoes medical treatment to try to get his body to respond in another demanding season with the Phillies

With the Phillies going through a crucial offseason and their championship window beginning to feel tighter and tighter, Bryce Harper sent a clear message: he is willing to do whatever it takes to get his body right in 2026.

The veteran star shared that he underwent a specialized procedure that seeks to improve his recovery, energy and performance, a sign that his commitment to Philadelphia remains intact despite the questions surrounding the team.

Harper reveals medical procedure to recover for 2026

Through his social networks, Harper announced that he underwent EBOO, a medical treatment designed to optimize body function. In his post, the player himself explained:

“EBOO is a procedure where a third of your body’s blood is extracted, passed through a filtration and ozonation device and then returned to your bloodstream,” Harper explained on his social media.

The outfielder-turned-first baseman also shared the benefits he seeks to gain from the process: “This will improve circulation, reduce inflammation, fight infections, support immune function, eliminate toxins and increase energy.”

The message made it clear that Harper is not taking his preparation lightly. After an intense campaign, his priority is to be physically ready to lead the team once again.

Bryce Harper’s numbers and the doubts surrounding the Phillies

At 33 years old, Harper is coming off a productive season: hitting .261 with a .357 OBP, 27 home runs and 75 RBIs in 132 games. Consistent numbers that keep him as the heart of the offense.

However, the team fell short in the NLDS for the second year in a row. The frustration did not go unnoticed and president of operations Dave Dombrowski himself made criticisms about whether Harper could return to MVP level. The comment upset the player, although both have already clarified the situation.

Beyond the noise, Harper remains the central figure in the project. His 13-year, $330 million contract, signed in 2019, made him the face of the franchise and the player around whom the entire current structure was built.

Harper’s legacy is already written: two MVP awards, eight All-Star selections and four Silver Sluggers since his debut in 2012. But there is one achievement that still eludes him: the coveted World Series title.

Every decision he makes, including this recent medical procedure, points to the same goal: to stay in condition to compete at the highest level and prevent the Phillies’ window from closing prematurely.
