Former and current New York Yankees legends have become embroiled in a war of words that has no purpose other than to attack each other over the team’s poor performance

Alex Rodriguez, after the ninth loss in the American League Division Series to the Toronto Blue Jays, came out to say that:

It was one of the worst squads I’ve ever seen in my life.

Alex Rodríguez

While another former team star, Derek Jeter, said:

I know he gets a lot of stick. But look, I’m not saying this from insider information, but I’m pretty sure Aaron’s not the one deciding every decision they make during the game

Derek Jeter

And for his part, the team’s manager, Aaron Boone, did not remain silent in the face of this criticism, and expressed:

I know Alex said something about how, once we were eliminated, we were very poorly organized, but three days before he chose us to win the World Series, so that seemed a bit contradictory

Aaron Boone

Although there is a lot of contradiction, because in the wild card series against the Boston Red Sox and they came out ahead, Alex Rodriguez said:

I think, finally, this is the year that the great [Aaron] Judge will have a memorable October. I’m betting on a 2009 World Series rematch. Yankees over Phillies. Aaron Judge, World Series MVP. Yankees in six games

Alex Rodríguez

And Jeter also had good comments about it.

I am sticking with my preseason World Series prediction: Yankees over Cubs.

Derek Jeter

Congratulations and praise arrived on October 5 and by the 9th of the same month, criticism was felt.

Now that they are in the offseason, the Yankees will have to start looking to rebuild the team and continue to look for that title that has eluded them for 16 years. They have not been champions since 2009, and the pressure is growing with each passing year.
