One of the biggest challenges for countries hosting a World Cup is having the right stadiums to host the world’s best players and thousands of fans. This is why the choice is not an easy one, and in this respect Canada, Mexico and the United States have proven to be up to the task.

The stadiums are top level and a millionaire investment, with these being the three most expensive stadiums of the 2026 World Cup:

  • SoFi Stadium – Los Angeles
  • MetLife Stadium – New Jersey
  • Mercedes Benz Stadium – Atlanta

The first on the list is the SoFi Stadium, which is the most expensive in the world at a cost of USD 5.5 billion. The United States will make its debut in this stadium and it has a capacity of 70,000 spectators.

MetLife Stadium is also one of the most expensive in the world and has a capacity of 82,500 people. Its investment is USD 1.6 billion.

Finally, there is the Mercedes Benz Stadium also with an investment of USD 1.6 billion and a capacity for 71,000 spectators.

United States to give priority visa appointments for World Cup

One of the main criticisms of the United States as a World Cup host is the difficulty of obtaining a visa to travel to the world’s top soccer event.

If you bought a ticket directly from FIFA, you can now opt for the FIFA PASS at http://fifa.com. This will give you access to a priority interview appointment when you apply for your visa
