Vinicius Junior’s decision to change his profile picture on Instagram, from an image in the Real Madrid shirt to one in the Brazil shirt, has generated quite a stir on social media. This change is not just an aesthetic issue, but seems to have a message behind it, something that has provoked various reactions among fans and football experts. He also uploaded a post with three dots that generated interactions among hundreds of people, including teammates and former teammates.

Vinicius, who has been one of Real Madrid’s most outstanding players in recent years, has had a somewhat complicated relationship with rival fans and certain sectors of Spanish football due to the racist comments he has received on several occasions. In addition, his celebrations and his attitude on the pitch have generated divided opinions. This has meant that his gestures off the pitch, such as changing his profile picture, have been analysed under a microscope.

This change in her Instagram profile picture has not gone unnoticed, and comments from followers, both for and against, have not been long in coming. Some see it as an act of personal reaffirmation, while others could interpret it as a gesture of distancing or criticism of the situation she has experienced in Spain.

A controversial change

Mbappe, whom he congratulated in another post, put four hearts, while Marcelo put “Capi” along with two emojis one of a face with sunglasses and a kimono, Endrick put “You are pika brother, seven great”; Asensio put three hands applauding and three hearts while Bellingham put “My 7” along with a white heart. In addition, Vini put a post indicating that this Sunday he was traveling to Dubai.
