Undefeated boxer Floyd Diaz arrested for driving a stolen car and possessing a gun

Promising young boxer Floyd Diaz, known for his undefeated professional record, found himself in serious legal trouble last week after a traffic stop in Las Vegas ended with his arrest.

The 21-year-old bantamweight was pulled over by Las Vegas Metro Police after officers received a LoJack alert indicating that the car Diaz was driving had been reported stolen.

When law enforcement conducted the stop, they discovered that Diaz was carrying a firearm he was not legally permitted to possess.

According to law enforcement sources, Diaz was arrested and booked into the Clark County jail on two felony charges – possession of a stolen vehicle and carrying a concealed weapon without a permit. His bail was set at $10,000 for both charges combined.

Both offenses are classified as class C felonies in the state of Nevada, meaning that if convicted, Diaz could face up to five years in prison for each charge, along with significant financial penalties.

Diaz’s promising career now faces uncertainty

Floyd Diaz, a rising figure in the boxing world, had been building momentum prior to this incident. Nicknamed “Cashflow,” the Las Vegas native has built an impressive record of 13 wins and no losses, making his mark as a talented and skilled bantamweight fighter.

His last appearance in the ring was in September 2024, where he secured a unanimous decision victory over Mario Hernandez at Madison Square Garden – a venue steeped in boxing history.

That win was seen as a potential stepping stone toward bigger opportunities for the young fighter, and many analysts viewed him as a future contender for a world title shot if he stayed on track.

Now, however, Diaz‘s career has taken a major detour. Facing two serious felony charges, Diaz‘s immediate future in the sport is clouded with uncertainty.

The boxing community often emphasizes discipline and character outside of the ring, and incidents like these can not only damage a fighter’s public image but also jeopardize their licensing to compete professionally.
