Without a doubt, knowing who the two Super Bowl finalists will be keeps thousands of NFL fans on tenterhooks, but so does knowing which artist or musical group will be in charge of the halftime show.
For the LX edition in 2026, the artist in charge of providing the music for the event will be Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, better known as “Bad Bunny.” This decision has sparked quite a bit of controversy, which was joined by the Chiefs tight end’s ex, Kayla Nicole.
Kayla gives her opinion on the halftime show
Travis Kelce’s ex-girlfriend recently appeared on the podcast Boyfriend Material with Harry Jowsey, where she discussed online hate, her own peace of mind, and the importance of physical fitness.
However, at one point in the conversation, the influencer and fitness and wellness creator was asked about Bad Bunny’s show, which has generated divided opinions among fans. Some more conservative sectors criticize his style, his explicit lyrics in Spanish, and his political stance against Donald Trump’s policies, while others believe that the message his presence can convey about diversity and inclusion and his large audience can be beneficial.
Despite this, Nicole viewed it favorably and admitted to being “excited” about the Puerto Rican’s performance:
“Absolutely love. I’m so excited. I don’t know a lot of Bad Bunny’s music, but I know Bad Bunny’s vibes, and I’m all for the vibes. I think I’ve seen clips of his residency in Puerto Rico. That looked so fun. I think it’s going to be a great freaking show,” Kayla said.
In addition, Kayla was reluctant about the possibility of being in a relationship with another athlete in the future and instead commented that her preference lies elsewhere:
“I keep saying I don’t want to date any more athletes, but I’m down to date the owners of the teams,” Nicole said.
These comments were interpreted by some fans as a nod to her ex-partner, Travis Kelce, and his fiancée, Taylor Swift, while others believe they simply reflect a desire for stability, ambition, and perhaps a less chaotic lifestyle than she previously experienced, due to the Chiefs’ TE routines and schedules.
