The Yankees’ plan that could change the future of Bo Bichette and Jazz Chisholm Jr.

New York Yankees expert Terence Kehm recently commented on the YouTube podcast “Pinstripe Territory” about his plan of action to make the Bronx Bombers a dangerous and competitive team in the upcoming 2026 tournament.

Kehm, in his idea for the 2026 season team, would look for a value-based roster, putting aside emotional spending, prioritizing a great spending strategy to get names like Bo Bichette and of course Cody Bellinger, while retaining the possibility of trading talented players like Jazz Chisholm Jr. to improve the roster.

Terence Kehm is a well-known Yankees analyst and an authoritative voice on the Bronx Bombers who in his latest video for the “Pinstripe Territory” podcast commented on the signing of Bellinger and the importance for the team as well as the pursuit of Blue Jays player Bo Bichette.

I would first try to re-sign Cody Bellinger but not to the point of overpaying for his value because I desperately need him back, even if he goes to another team because he signed a seven-year contract with them I’m fine.

Later in the podcast, Terence commented that he has nothing against Jazz Chisholm Jr., as he considers him an All-Star caliber player, but that he considers him to be the most tradable asset for the Yankees in this market. For Kehm, looking for a good starting pitcher, a good arm for the bullpen or a good outfielder would be key if Chisholm were to leave.

I would sign Bo Bichette, I would play him at second or third base. If I signed Cody Bellinger and Bo Bichette, believe it or not, I would look to trade Jazz Chisholm Jr.

Cody Bellinger: What will it take for him to sign for the New York Yankees?

The most difficult negotiations with one of the most sought-after free agents this winter is undoubtedly Cody Bellinger, which has become a real odyssey for the Bronx Bombers, who have not yet reached an agreement with the player.

Analysts project a $180 million contract for Bellinger, with a possible $30 million annual deal over six years, which would fit the Yankees‘ plans. However, other sources mention that Bellinger is looking for a seven-year contract.

Agent Scott Boras is reportedly still pushing for a seven-year deal that would extend until Bellinger is 37 years old, a deal that many front offices would be reluctant to accept, which is the biggest stumbling block.
