As the Kansas City Chiefs prepare to take on the Dallas Cowboys on Thanksgiving Day at AT&T Stadium, all eyes are not just on the field.
Questions are swirling about whether Taylor Swift will make the trip to Dallas to cheer on her fiancé, Travis Kelce.
While she has been a familiar presence at several Chiefs home games this season, her attendance at away games has been limited, leaving fans eager to see if she will join the holiday matchup.
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has already signaled he’d roll out the red carpet if she shows up.
“We would have an elaborate seat for her if she should attend the game,” Jones said during a radio appearance. “No one is a bigger fan of Taylor Swift than I am.”

According to recent reporting, Swift has largely avoided away games for the Chiefs this season, sticking mostly to home games at Arrowhead Stadium, where security and familiarity make logistics simpler.
Swift is keeping a lower profile this season
Several sources close to Swift say she’s keeping a lower profile during the 2025-26 season.
The celebrity’s team reportedly only commits to venues in which they can guarantee safety and privacy.
As one insider explained, her presence at unfamiliar stadiums would require significant planning and scouting.
Swift has said publicly that she never seeks to be a spectacle at her fiancé’s games. “I’m just there to support Travis,” she told TIME in 2023.
She admitted she doesn’t know how broadcasters always seem to find her, nor does she aim to draw attention.
“I don’t know how they know what suite I’m in. There’s a camera, like, a half-mile away, and you don’t know where it is, and you have no idea when the camera is putting you in the broadcast, so I don’t know if I’m being shown 17 times or once,” she said.
“I have no awareness of if I’m being shown too much and pissing off a few dads, Brads and Chads.”
As recently as the game against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, she sat out of public view entirely, opting not to be photographed arriving or leaving the stadium.
Excitement for Swifties and Chiefs fans if the star arrives
If Swift does decide to attend today’s game, it would certainly up the game’s viewership. Swift‘s relationship with Kelce has helped draw new viewers, especially younger audiences, to NFL games.
But even if she remains absent, the story won’t disappear. For one thing, fans and media will still draw attention to where she is, or isn’t, showing up.
And in an NFL season where every game counts, teams know public engagement isn’t just about performance on the field.
