For Shedeur Sanders, Donald Trump’s remarks about his arrival in the NFL and how teams dismissed him before he landed with the Cleveland Browns did not go unnoticed.
He’s definitely been a supporter for a minute, so I’m just thankful for him even taking time out of his day to speak out his support.
Those were the words used by the young Browns quarterback on Thursday, November 27, at the team’s training facilities. It is worth recalling the dramatic fall experienced by Deion Sanders’ son in last April’s draft, where he was expected to be selected within the first five prospects.
However, something happened that kept teams from choosing him, and he continued sliding until pick number 144, when the Browns made what seemed at the moment like an act of charity toward Coach Prime’s son by taking him onto their roster. Even before that moment arrived, Trump had already commented on the peculiar situation the quarterback was facing.

The story, however, would continue, as Trump later commented once again about Shedeur. This happened after his first victory in a game he started as the Browns’ quarterback against the Las Vegas Raiders. Following the epic moment experienced by Sanders, the president once more posted a message referring to the player
“I TOLD YOU SO!…Shedeur Sanders was GREAT.”… “Wins first game, career start, as a pro (for Cleveland). Great Genes.”

Shedeur Sanders has made the most of the opportunity that opened after Dillon Gabriel suffered a concussion. He has brought a different spark to the team and a new energy to the locker room.
