Alexis Ohanian expressed feeling “robbed” after his daughter Olympia left him out of a tough question at Athlos 2025 as the Reddit co-founder recounted the moment, recalling a fond playful family exchange.

During the conversation, Olympia was asked about her favorite athlete and immediately chose her mother, Serena Williams.

Ohanian, speaking in an interview with Bloomberg’s Emily Chang asked, “What about papa?” to which Olympia replied without hesitation, “You’re not an athlete,” leaving him humorously excluded.

Ohanian then shared a video of the exchange on X.com, formerly known as Twitter, and reacted with a short, frustrated message.

“I was robbed,” Alexis wrote, emphasizing how his daughter’s candid response left him out of the athletic spotlight despite his active involvement in sports discussions.

The entrepreneur also frequently posts glimpses of family life. Recently, he highlighted Olympia‘s artwork, which featured a girl under a rainbow with the words “love” and “kind” surrounding it.

Ohanian captioned the post: “Never short on options for bookmarks when you have kids.”

Sha’Carri Richardson heaps praise on Alexis Ohanian

Track star Sha’Carri Richardson praised Ohanian for empowering female athletes through the league-based Athlos, set to launch next year, as she serves as both competitor and advisor-owner, working alongside Gabby Thomas and Tara Davis-Woodhall.

Richardson highlighted Ohanian’s creation of opportunities for women in track and field, emphasizing that the platform gives athletes visibility and professional growth. She expressed gratitude for his leadership and support of female competitors across the sport.

Although she did not compete in earlier Athlos events, Richardson attended the 2025 edition during her offseason. She participated in meet-and-greet sessions with fans and notable attendees, including Serena and Venus Williams, alongside Alexis Ohanian.

The sprinter noted Ohanian‘s contributions in giving female athletes a voice and more control in the sport.

“He gave us a voice, you know,” Richardson said. “In a lot of different ways, like creating the meet, like just creating different opportunities to have we can show up.”

Richardson emphasized that the upcoming Athlos event will serve as a stepping stone for women’s track and field, especially as the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics approach. The women’s 100m event is scheduled for the opening day, highlighting the sprint competition.

Richardson also shared her personal goal for the 2028 Olympics: to convert her 2024 Paris silver medal in the 100m into gold. She sees Athlos as a crucial platform to prepare athletes and elevate women’s track and field globally.

Ohanian‘s involvement in Athlos shows his commitment to supporting athletics while balancing family life. His humorous reaction to Olympia leaving him out of her favorite athlete question illustrates the human, personal side behind his professional initiatives.
