Seattle Mariners superstar declares Seahawks will win Super Bowl LX ‘by a million’

As Super Bowl LX approaches, confidence around the Seattle Seahawks has moved beyond the locker room and into the city’s broader sports culture, where optimism feels less like bravado and more like momentum.

That belief was summed up neatly this week when Cal Raleigh, one of Seattle‘s most recognizable sports figures, predicted a Seahawks win over the New England Patriots “by a million.”

Raleigh‘s remark was delivered with a grin during a media session and reported by The Athletic.

The Seahawks enter Super Bowl LX having dispatched two divisional rivals in emphatic fashion.

A 41-6 dismantling of the San Francisco 49ers was followed by a composed 31-27 win over the Los Angeles Rams in the NFC Championship Game.

The performances have reinforced a growing sense that this roster is not only talented but balanced.

At the center of Seattle‘s surge is quarterback Sam Darnold, whose postseason poise has reshaped the narrative around his career.

Darnold has been efficient and decisive, leaning into a rhythm-based passing game that has minimized risk while maximizing production.

His chemistry with wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba has been a defining element of the Seahawks‘ offense, particularly on third downs and in late-game situations.

Just as important has been the defense. Seattle forced multiple turnovers across its two playoff games and consistently controlled field position, turning pressure into points.

That complementary style of offense protecting the ball, with defense creating opportunities, is often what separates contenders from champions.

Raleigh‘s enthusiasm resonates because Seattle fans have watched this formula succeed before.

For a city that has endured its share of near-misses, including the Seattle Mariners‘ recent postseason heartbreak, the Seahawks‘ run offers a chance at a unifying sports moment.

The Patriots stand in the way

The challenge ahead, however, is significant. New England arrives in Santa Clara following one of the NFL‘s most dramatic turnarounds, improving from four wins a season ago to a 14-3 record.

First-year head coach Mike Vrabel has instilled discipline and physicality, while second-year quarterback Drake Maye has accelerated the franchise’s rebuild faster than most expected.

For the Patriots, Super Bowl LX represents a chance at history, a seventh Lombardi Trophy that would stand alone atop the NFL record books.

For the Seahawks, it is an opportunity to claim a second championship and validate a season defined by resilience and growth.

The Seahawks and Patriots will meet in Super Bowl LX on Sunday, February 8, with kickoff scheduled for 3:30 p.m. PT at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

The game will be broadcast nationally on FOX and available to stream via the network’s digital platforms, setting the stage for one of the most anticipated Super Bowls in recent memory.
