Ryder Cup 2025: Schedule, how to watch, match times, teams, and everything else you need to know

When the biennial rivalry between Team USA and Team Europe returns in 2025, it brings one of golf’s most electrifying formats: match play, passion, momentum swings, and high-stakes drama.

The event runs from September 26 to 28, 2025, held at the storied Bethpage Black Course in Farmingdale, New York.

To win the Cup, the United States needs 14 points, while Europe needs 14 points to retain the title from their 2023 victory.

Format and match schedule

Over three days, 28 matches will be contested across three formats: foursomes (alternate shot), four-ball (better ball), and singles.

The first two days (Friday and Saturday) feature morning foursomes and afternoon four-ball matches, with Sunday reserved for 12 singles matches to decide the outcome.

According to the official schedule:

Friday, September 26

  • Morning foursomes: 7:10 a.m., 7:26 a.m., 7:42 a.m., 7:58 a.m.
  • Afternoon four-balls: 12:25 p.m., 12:41 p.m., 12:57 p.m., 1:13 p.m.

Saturday, September 27

  • Matches mirror Friday’s times in both formats.
  • Sunday, September 28 (Singles)

The singles round begins at 12:02 p.m. ET and runs with matches spaced roughly 12 minutes apart.

The U.S. has confirmed that this format, foursomes then four-ball on the first two days, singles on the last, is consistent with the structure used in recent Cups.

Teams and key players to watch

Team USA is captained by Keegan Bradley and boasts a blend of stars, veterans, and electric hitters.

Top qualifiers include Scottie Scheffler, Bryson DeChambeau, Collin Morikawa, Xander Schauffele, Patrick Cantlay, and Sam Burns. Bradley’s picks and strategic pairings will be essential in balancing power and chemistry.

On the European side, captain Luke Donald returns with a deep roster. Europe leans heavily on stalwarts like Rory McIlroy, Jon Rahm, Justin Rose, Matt Fitzpatrick, Shane Lowry, and rising talents such as Viktor Hovland, Ludvig Åberg, and Rasmus Højgaard.

With Europe having won in 2023, defending the title on foreign soil adds extra intrigue.

Over the history of the event, the U.S. leads the overall series 27-15-2. But since 1979, when the format evolved, Europe holds the advantage 12-9-1. Europe enters this match with momentum, having claimed eight of the last 11 Cups.

How to watch and follow

For fans in the U.S., the coverage will be split across channels and platforms:

  • Friday matches air from 7 a.m.-6 p.m. ET on USA Network
  • Saturday and Sunday are broadcast on NBC, with full coverage through noon to 6 p.m. on Sunday

Streaming options are robust: fans can watch on Peacock, RyderCup.com, and via the NBC Sports App. On Thursday (Sept. 25), the opening ceremony airs 4-7 p.m. ET and is available on Golf Channel and streaming platforms.

Those attending in person or following closely can also use the official Ryder Cup App, which offers live streaming of highlighted matches, shot-by-shot statistics, player insights, ticket management, and interactive maps of Bethpage Black.

For British viewers, coverage is expected via Sky Sports Golf (with availability through Sky Go and NOW TV) beginning Friday morning, continuing through the weekend.
