Bam Adebayo’s 83 points against the Washington Wizards last Tuesday is now NBA history. Only Wilt Chamberlain’s 100 points in 1962 surpasses it. Commemorative jerseys of the feat are already sold out, while the price of his trading cards is skyrocketing on the internet.
Adebayo, who was averaging 18.9 points per game until Tuesday, delivered a historic performance at Miami’s Kaseya Center, delighting his teammates, who kept looking for him in the fourth quarter to surpass Kobe Bryant’s mythical 81 points against the Toronto Raptors in 2006.
All his NBA career in Florida
A 20 of 43 shooting, with 7 of 22 from the perimeter and 36 of 43 free throws made – an all-time NBA record in a game – was the statistical line on a night when the Heat won 150-129, and the 28-year-old center called it the best of his career.

It took less than 24 hours for Heat fans to sell out all sizes of one of the commemorative jerseys the team released to celebrate the occasion.
The franchise’s red kit, with Adebayo’s name and the number 83 on the back, instead of his traditional number 13, sold out on the Heat’s online store on Wednesday night, while some sizes of the other alternative, which is black and pays homage to ‘Miami Vice‘, began to become unavailable.
With regard to the record, the team reduced the price of all Adebayo’s jerseys to $83, which usually cost between $120 and $140. Some fans also tried to cash in on the center’s feat, and a special version of an Adebayo card from his rookie year went up for sale on ‘eBay’ for $1 million. In 2024, that card had sold at auction for $11,655.
According to the platform’s data, the average selling price of Adebayo’s collectibles in the month prior to his 83-point performance was $15.41, with a total of 725 items for sale. The day after, 1,233 Adebayo-related items were up for auction, almost all of them trading cards, with an average cost of $47.42.
