Rodrygo Goes receives support from his clubs and teammates at Real Madrid after his serious injury

The season is not over yet, but for Rodrygo Goes, it is. On Tuesday, March 3, it was confirmed that the Real Madrid star suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury and a torn outer meniscus in his right knee during the defeat to Getafe (0-1).

Unfortunately, this means he will have to say goodbye to the season with Los Merengues and the 2026 FIFA World Cup, where he hoped to defend Brazil’s colors. Despite the pain of this moment, his teammates and teams showed their support.

Goes receives love from the soccer world

The 25-year-old star shared one of the most heartbreaking posts of his career on his official Instagram account, announcing his injury and his consequent time away from the field.

Without sugarcoating the situation and assuring that it is “one of the worst days of my life,” he shared a profound reflection where his faith and passion for soccer were more than clear. He also took the time to thank his fans and loved ones:

“Thank you everyone for the prayers, messages, and affection! You are very important to me. Even though this is a very difficult moment, I promise not to stop here. I believe I still have many incredible things to experience and bring joy to everyone who trusts in me. It’s just a see you soon… God remains in control of everything,” he wrote alongside two photos and a video showing the exact moment of his injury.

After announcing this injury, which will keep him off the field for at least six months, Rodrygo received multiple expressions of affection.

On Instagram, Real Madrid, the Brazilian Football Confederation, and Santos FC, where he began his career in the club’s youth academy in 2011, shared posts wishing him a speedy recovery and strength to cope with this injury.

Fans also left messages such as “Get well soon, Rodry,” “Cheer up, we’re waiting for you,” and “Que Deus te abençoe e boa recuperação” (May God bless you and give you a speedy recovery).

In addition, his teammates David Alaba, Vinicius Jr., Thibaut Courtois, and Jude Bellingham were among those who shared messages for him on their stories:

“Meu mano!!!! Get well soon!!! Stay strong and close to your loved ones. God bless! We’re waiting for you… @rodrygogoes,” wrote Vini.

“We’re with you, brother. @rodrygogoes,” shared Alaba. “We’re all with you, brother, you’ll be back stronger than ever! @rodrygogoes,” said Bellinham.

Even the Real Madrid goalkeeper shared a few words for Rodrygo: “Cheer up, my friend! I know you’ll come back stronger than ever. We’ll be here to support you and help you with everything @rodrygogoes.”

Without a doubt, this is a great gesture that comforts and calms Goes at a time that many athletes have had to go through, but that no one would wish on even their worst rival.
