It was in Culiacan, where on the night called “Por Nuestro Legado” the family of the ‘Cesar del Boxeo’ organized an evening, to be able to enjoy amateur and semi-professional boxing fights; and it was there where Roberto Chavez defeated Richy Robles.

Roberto Chavez made his debut with a victory, arriving with an amateur record of 19 wins and one loss. The fight, which was scheduled at light flyweight, saw two boxers who were only 18 years old.
It was in a split decision that the cousin of the detainee Julio Cesar Chavez Jr, was able to raise his arms at the Juan S. Millan Sports Center in Culiacan, Sinaloa.
