Real Madrid vs Levante LIVE: Official lineups and latest news – LaLiga 25/26

Hello everyone and welcome to another MARCA in English live blog, this time covering LaLiga EA Sports clash between Real Madrid and Levante at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu.

The past fortnight has been eventful in Madrid. Xabi Alonso departed by mutual consent following defeat to Barcelona in the Supercopa de Espana final, leaving Alvaro Arbeloa to take interim charge. His first match ended in further disappointment as Los Blancs were knocked out of the Copa del Rey by Segunda Division side Albacete.??

Real Madrid remains second in LaLiga, four points behind Barcelona, and their home form has largely been strong with eight wins from nine league matches at the Bernabeu. Levante arrive with a touch more optimism. Luis Castro’s appointment in late December has coincided with a modest upswing in results, including a three’match unbeaten stretch.

Recent meetings heavily favor Real Madrid, who have beaten Levante by emphatic margins in their last two encounters. The visitors do, however, carry memories of a rare Bernabeu upset in 2021, proof that opportunities can emerge when the atmosphere tightens around the hosts.
