Gerard Pique, the former Barcelona player who had an intense rivalry on and off the pitch with Alvaro Arbeloa, sent a message on Twitchfrom the Kings League commenting on Real Madrid’s heavy defeat to Albacete in Arbeloa’s first game as coach.

“Let it be in all the national and international media!… Pique has just ‘laughed’ at Alvaro Arbeloa

“Good debut 3-2 Gerard Pique Bernabeu has just put in”, commented Spursito during the broadcast of the match he was narrating together with DjMaRiio and Adri Contreras.

“Pique is a dead man

“Let it be in all the national and international media!… Pique just ‘laughed’ at Alvaro Arbeloa,” he added.

DjMaRiio, a self-confessed Real Madrid fan, replied: “Pique is a dead man… It’s incredible.”

Where does the rivalry between Gerard Pique and Alvaro Arbeloa come from?

It was during the intense Clasicos between Pep Guardiola’s Barcelona and Jose Mourinho’s Real Madrid that the rivalry between Gerard Pique and Alvaro Arbeloa reached its peak.

“Arbeloa proclaims himself my friend but he is only an acquaintance, a traffic cone… acquaintance,” Pique said in 2015 in a phrase that went viral and is still relevant today.

Previously, Arbeloa, at a time of maximum intensity in the Clasicos, declared that “one day I will see Pique in the comedy club talking about Madrid”.

Shortly afterwards, Pique said: “I have nothing more to say, only that Arbeloa was an acquaintance and everyone interpreted what they wanted. I was very clear and I have nothing more to say about this.”

In 2017, Arbeloa declared that “I wouldn’t go to lunch with Pique”.
