The NFL world has been rocked by a stunning scandal over the past couple of weeks. An explosive report, with evidence to boot, of Mike Vrabel and Dianna Russini‘s private getaway has had far-reaching consequences.
Russini had to resign from The Athletic, while her and Vrabel’s separate family lives have been impacted greatly. Russini has adamantly defended herself, particularly with her resignation statement, but she never outright claimed that the rumors about her initimate relationship with Vrabel weren’t true.
Mike Vrabel’s statement on Dianna Russini may have been an admission of guilt
Fans were waiting to see when Vrabel would address the media. He finally did on Tuesday, delivering a statement and refusing to answer any follow-up questions. While Vrabel didn’t really say much of note during his two-and-a-half minute statement, it very much seemed like an admission of guilt.

Vrabel closed his statement by making it clear that he isn’t going anywhere. The head coach says that his family and the Patriots organization will get the best version of him going forward, and he’s “excited to do that“.
Fans quickly called Vrabel out for his initial response to the story, which he called “laughable” at the time. His tune certainly changed heading into this media statement, but fans have practically accepted that he did what he’s been accused of. Vrabel didn’t reject the rumors or deny them in any form.
