Kylian Mbappé was one of the most active players during the controversial sequence in which Vinícius Jr. became involved in an alleged racist insult by Gianluca Prestianni during the Champions League match against Benfica.

It was after the game that he posted a message of solidarity that only confirms Real Madrid has found its leader-one who stands firmly by his teammates.

Mbappé’s message to Vinícius Jr.

“BAILA @vinijr and please never stop. They will never tell us what we have to do or not,” were the French star’s words on X, publicly showing his full support for the Brazilian.

The incident unfolded after Vinícius Jr. scored a stunning goal to open the scoring around the 50th minute. The Real Madrid attacker celebrated with his signature dance in front of the Estádio da Luz crowd, which sparked an argument with several Benfica players and resulted in a yellow card for the Brazilian.

As play was about to resume, Vini approached the referee to point out Prestianni, who had pulled his shirt over his face and allegedly directed a racist remark.

Mbappé also spoke out and condemned what happened in the mixed zone after the 1-0 victory.

“We cannot accept a player participating in Europe’s top competition behaving like this. UEFA is trying to change things, but this is a serious case and I hope decisions are made,” declared the French forward.
